Cartel “Otros Quijotes”
Álvaro Bautista, alongside other 49 Spanish designers assumed the ambitious challenge of reinventing Don Quixote character to suit our society worldwide. A joint initiative sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the DDI and the Ministry of Culture in 2005, which resulted in fifty posters gathered in a catalogue and an exhibition, which opened in Toledo and later toured Spain and other countries. The work by Álvaro Bautista was highly acclaimed by critics up to the point the Ministry of Foreign Affairs chose it as his image for Holidays Greetings in 2006. Its was based on a image of the Rwanda exodus with a red heart and the definition of "Don Quixote" according to the RAE.
